How Easy is it to Kayak Pictured Rocks?

Pictured Rocks Kayaking provides the only off-shore launch – which means rather than taking off from land, kayakers cruise from Munising Bay aboard a kayak-launching boat and are released into Lake Superior just past Painted Coves. You’ll skip hours of paddling you’d need to do with the other guys and get straight to the best parts.

Bathrooms are available on board, and the boat follows your tour, meaning that safety and comfort are guaranteed. You can purchase a Pictured Rocks Kayaking gift card by following these simple steps:

1. When you go to our ticketing site, select Gift Certificates.
2. From November to December, you can add a holiday promo code.
   • In 2024, the promo code is XMAS24.
3. Select the tour type you would like the gift certificate(s) to be exchanged for.
4. Select “Print at Home“.
5. Enter in your own name, phone number, email address, etc. — in other words, the purchaser’s information for billing purposes.
   • The only thing the gift recipient needs is the order ID from the confirmation email.
   • You don’t need to enter in any of their information.
6. Print out the confirmation email or forward the email to that special someone (or keep it to yourself, we won’t judge you).
7. To redeem, the recipient can simply call the office with the Order ID from the email to pick the date for their tour.

Essentially, buy the gift certificate by entering your own information. All that the gift certificate recipient needs to redeem is the Order ID. We recommend planning a trip at least two weeks in advance to secure a spot.
